Thoughts

In memory Michael, a loving brother, uncle and great uncle. We will MISS you every day but the birdsong in mornings will remind us of the lovely times we got to spend with you. Our pain exists because we lost you but so too exists the joy from having had you in our lives. We are unlucky to have said goodbye but lucky to have someone it hard to say goodbye to. Wherever you are we hope the skies are bluer, the colours are brighter, the hills are higher, the birds fly further and the world is kinder.

What a Gentleman! I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Michael. Despite his personal challenges, Michael was a tireless advocate for the disabled, dedicating his time to ensuring just treatment for all. He surrounded himself with some incredible friends, who he considered his true family. Michael was a beacon of kindness and a true gentleman, with a gentle humour, a cheeky smile, and a glint in his eye that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Michael’s dedication to helping the underdog and his genuine care for people made him beloved by all. His legacy of compassion and advocacy will continue to inspire us. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day" Rest in peace, Michael. You will be greatly missed.

Michael was in my life for nearly 20 years and will be sorely missed. He was an amazingly kind friend to my mum Linda and always made me feel welcome in his presence. I loved hearing all his stories about his protection work and martial arts skills. On a Saturday night when I was out with friends in the firkin pub in Hornchurch we would often go to JJ Moons and spend the evening in the company of Michael and his friends as they were a fun group of people to be around and you felt like part of a community and Michael was such a gentleman, my friends all remember him and remember how he made them all laugh. Michael always made time to keep up to date on my love life dramas and vet any new potential boyfriends. RIP Michael, all my love Michelle xxx
